Sunday, February 27, 2005 Amazing Boyfriend is at a meeting. It is Sunday, and he is very much in love with me today. I am bathing in it. I think it has something to do with the fact that he knew he pissed me off yesterday, by forgetting I existed. In stead of being pissed off when he finally came home last night, I was dancing around in extacy. Stevie Wonder blasting Don't You Worrie About a Thiiieeeeeeng. You see, the pissed off energy went all into my application for university. I pounded through the letter I have to write with it (Motivatet Application, they call it). I had just finished when he came home. Stevie is my absolout favorite for celebrating the grand finale of a big accomplishment. There is something so ultra celebrational about a lot of his music. Let me give you some samples of his best CD's. Pure joy. ![]() ![]()

Hah!
posted by Skotta | 1:12 PM | Saturday, February 26, 2005 I LOVE my readers. You are so sweet, missing me! Lavinn commented that I snobbed for the Queen, and that it was not nice to put my readers on the back burner. What can I say? One has to live a little, to be able to blog a little. Let me tell you about going to the movies with the Queen. She smiled and was very sweet. I am her latest fan, and would give her a hug if I ever got close enough. I did not get to bow, which I had practiced. First thing she did when she got out of the theater, was to take up her silver cigarette holder and have a smoke. Then she had audience, and met most of the actors and makers of the film. The film was good, and the evening was a lot of fun. I have to admit, I am a sucker for that red carpet. My highlight of the eve was wearing the necklace. Let me tell you the story of the necklace. Some years ago, a young woman decided to take a French class at an evening school. She enjoyed the lessons, and discovered secretly, that she was on the same wavelenght as the French teacher, Madame La Cour. This she knew, for they shared the same sense of humor, and often met each others eye over something funny that happened in class. Unfortunately, the young girl was seated next to the old Hr. Doktor Hausmann. Hr. Doktor took quite a fancy to the young woman, to the extent where he awaited her at the corner of her street, and walked her to every class. Other pupils notice his fascination, and to the young womans dismay, they teased with comments on the "young couple". The ever so polite young woman, could not bring herself to break the old man's heart, but was quite bothered by his behaviour, and was sure his wife would be too, if she knew ... The girl eventually decided that she was to busy for the French, that she had no time for her homework. She stood by her decision, in protest of Hr. Doktor Hausmann, who offered to write her essays. The young woman suspected that Madame La Cour had guessed the real reason for her leaving the class. Later, the girl accidently ran into her old teacher, Madame La Cour, at her local supermarket. Madame and the young woman were happy to meet again, and Madame informed that she had an exclusive group of ladies that she tutored at home. Madame invited the young woman to join the group. At least a decade later, if not more (one never tells with ladies), the young woman, now a retired dame, still takes classes with the hand picked female students (of excellent breading) of Madame La Cour. They meet every Wednesday, with their French essays. They talk a lot, and laugh even more. I am sure tears have been shared in this group, as the 87 year old Madame is known to be quite a psychologist by nature. Our hero of the story, never misses a class. They share their joys and worries, stories of their children, and grandchildren. And in this group, the news were discussed, of me sharing a movie theater with the Queen. It all started when I called AB's aunt, and asked her if there were any special Danish things I should know about, in connection with me attending this gala. Auntie L told me all she knew, but to be safe, she asked her ladies in the French class. I picture them, sitting there, excited, somebody saying, oh do tell it in Danish, it goes too slowely in French! And the big bird Madame talkes to, and her six turtles (who will inherit a good deal of her fortune to insure their continuous pleasant life) moving slowely around them in Madame's beautiful apartment. Then Madame stands up and leaves the room, to enter again with a beautiful necklace, which she gives to Auntie L. She tells Auntie L, that if her sister's daughter-in-law is interested, she can borrow the necklace to wear with a black dress, or a black turtle neck. They probably got back to their French essays, inspired by the two words Madame gave them last week. Baignade et conversation. And as you can imagine, I wore a black dress and took great pride in wearing the necklace. (I also made sure I gave Auntie L a lot of juice to bring to French class!). Madame La Cour told Auntie L that she would be very pleased if I accepted the necklace as a memory of my "meeting with the Queen". It is amazing. I love the necklace. It is a pice of jewlery that Madame gave to a friend in America. When the friend died, they sent the necklace back to Madame. I am so proud to wear it. Okay, this will have to do for now. I have to hurry out to lunch with AB and some people I don't know. Better put lipstick on. ps. I had to cancel a cup of coffe with a very dear friend yesterday. She generously said that it was okay, because she had to buy herself an apartment anyway. I want to congratulate her on her very own, ugly, apartment!!! pps. To the woman in the small house: I miss you. posted by Skotta | 12:40 PM | Monday, February 21, 2005 I'm sorry guys, I am too busy to blog these days. I'm applying for university and preparing my meeting with the Queen. posted by Skotta | 5:37 PM | Friday, February 18, 2005 I have a brother, who's blog is in Icelandic. He just posted some links. Don't ask me how he gets those: This might drive you insane. And here is one you'll love: Black People Love Us. And for something to look forward to. Yeah bro, you're cool. And now I have to run. Going to the airport to pick up AB who has been working in Norway and Finland this week. I can't believe I had the car all week, with a full tank of gas, and did not drive it. We'll better go drive it now. posted by Skotta | 9:24 PM | Thursday, February 17, 2005 I have news. I know you are all dying to know how Paris was. What can I tell you? It's Paris! And Paris does not fail you. Even though you show up there with severe food poisoning, from eating something bad at my favorite Indian restaurant in Copenhagen. Lets just say, it was my first time travelling business class, first time throwing up in the business lounge, and on the floor of a plane. Paris was amazing, even more amazing after the amazing little pill that I put under my tounge, and later made me stop throwing up. I wen't to the Louvre and got all inspired to do art. I walked with my lover man by the Seine. I watched loads of people pound down oysters. Tis the season. (Listening to Beastie Boys now .. just bought To The 5 Boroughs) I love Paris. I plan to go there soon again. We stayed at the Diana, and I reccommend it. It is located by the Sorbonne, and surrounded by bookstores. I could not have be sick in a nicer environment. It was the perfect way to spend Valentine's. The only thing making it more perfect would be, that AB's good friend K, would not stay in the room next to ours ... And in the honor of Valentine's and lovers all over the world, I will share with you the "Real" Queen's description of her man: if rasmus were a food he'd be cadbury's caramel. you know you'll like it (well i would cos its my fave chocolate). its a very loyal chocolate, its dependable, filled with gooey love and very good at keeping secrets. its heavy and strong, maybe a little fattening (rasmus is a bit of a feeder) but it loves you back (as chocolates do, any woman will testify) and miraculously never bores you. Have you ever read anything more beautiful?! And now for the news: I am going to the movies with the Queen. Not my Queen. The Danish Queen. I am going to be a bridesmaid in Texas this fall. As the Danish Queen comes first, next week, there is, I am now looking for something to wear. You see, AB has to wear a smoking. By the way, why is it called a smoking? Him dressing up that way, requires me having a long skirt. All the way down. Fashion these days is knee lenght. (Man, Beastie Boys kick ass!) I found a dress, vintage something. It is wee too tight, but I'll pull it off by eating only sushi until the 24th. Not. (Dancing to the Beastie Boys until the 24th might do it) And now the couple who just decided they are going to be husband and wife. ABOUT BLOODY TIME!!!!! Congrats on the ring sweetie, you deserve no less. (I don't really need to tell you what I think of To The 5 Boroughs, do I?) posted by Skotta | 6:07 PM | Wednesday, February 09, 2005 Of fun and games ...: You have to give it to Kellogg's. Needless to say, Special K is my favorite. Check out this Nutri-grain ad. Okay, I am not even going to decorate this with words. I just stole a number of links from Halli. Here they come: Albino Blacksheep Doodoocaca Song The Llama Song Angry Alien (featuring The Shining, and The Exorcist, performed by the 30-second Bunnies Theater) posted by Skotta | 6:19 PM | Where were we? Oh, yes. I am back home now. Eating the last of the Goldfish my Citycat packed for me, as a part of the carepack to have on the plane. Where does one start, to describe a visit like that? With the baby. The BABY!!! OMG. He is just the cutest, sweetest baby. Always in a good mood, except when the nose had to be cleaned. And that irritation was quick to disappear. He is not holding his head yet, only 3 months. We chatted a lot. He is making a lot of beautiful sounds, and he just discovered his fist. Hasn't discovered that it is attached to the arm, that belongs to his own body... I made a little friend. Let me tell you about the rest of the family. They are the kind of people who all of a sudden turn out the lights and bring in a cake, with candles that look like crayons, and it's made of two kinds of icecream and chockolade fudge cake, and it has written on it "Happy birthday .. " and my name on it! I GOT A CAKE WITH MY NAME ON IT!!! They are caretakers. She has taken care of my heart, and helped me get in touch with my soul. I didn't even know I had one. During this visit, she was constantly giving, sharing, so that I could learn the promise of how good life can get. I will never forget, as long as I live, how her husband, then boyfriend, who got to know me as a monster, welcomed me to their house with my heart in pieces. He ran me a bath, and put soothing music on. I had met him once, and he took care of me. It was such a delight to hang out, the four of us. They guys hooked up over mutual interests, fabulous sports cars and fly fishing. I remember the day, that I would rather die than admit to having a boyfriend with such yuppie interests. Well, there might be a fishing trip to Iceland in the future. Funny how life keeps implying that I am a grown up ... Which brings me to my birthday! I had a great birthday. I slept through it, and then AB took me out to eat dim sums. When looking for a good photo of a cake, I found this link. I found a cake pic on Google. Inspired by my mans new t-shirt. Thursday, February 03, 2005 Last post from the hotel. We are now saying goodbye to the Solita. I just have to blog this, because it is too wild: Last night AB got mail from SAS airlines, offering a special deal on Valentineday's weekend in Paris for some of his frebquent flyer miles. Guess who is going to Paris on the 11th? I can't believe my life. And now, finish packing and off to Purchase! posted by Skotta | 5:16 PM | Got over myself and my self-pity. Boyfriend awoke when I told him I was going out, and we now have had yet another wonderful day out in the sun. I love my life. I love my boyfriend. posted by Skotta | 1:58 AM | Wednesday, February 02, 2005 AB has now enterred day two of unconciousness. He is currently napping. Yesterday was wonderful. I woke up at 8 am and chatted, blogged a little, took my bath, and then went out. The sneaks I had my eye on were not available in my number. I bought some t-shirts, postcards, and a small gift for AB's mother. 2 pm I return to the hotel. AB was in still bed. We decide to meet up later on, and I go out and hook up with my man JC. We had coffee and after meeting AB in front of Virgin, we went to a thrift store on 23rd. AB came out with a lumberjack shirt/jacket for 3 bucks. We then went out for a pizza, hung out a bit, and were back in our room by 7 pm. We never made it out again. Boyfriend fell asleep. Same as last night. And now he is napping. I would give gold for this mans ability to sleep. It is a bit strange to be on vacation, and always be awake at 8 am, ready to go out and play. On the other hand, it might seem strange to others, to travel to New York, only to spend sunny days in your tiny hotel room. My man works hard. I love that he is able to relax. I wish I didn't always feel that I am missing out on life, if I am not doing something. New York always makes me stressed. It is tax free week, and the dollar is really good. I have a strong urge to shop. As an example: a good bra is a rare thing. I have one amazing bra on right now, bought here the day before yesterday. I feel now that I should use the oppertunity and go and buy 2 more. Another example: I can get 2 pairs of Addidas sneakers for the price of a pair in Denmark. I need shoes badly. I feel that I should be looking for good sneakers. Out in the sunshine. In stead, I am blogging. Something I can do from my living room in Denmark. I am sitting by lamp light, at 1 pm, drapes closed. Waiting for my boyfriend to wake up. Anyone surprised I have an urge to shop? posted by Skotta | 6:39 PM | Tuesday, February 01, 2005 I can see on my latest post that I was distracted by the TV, right there in the end. I am now enjoying chatting with my family members on MSN. Those lovely people are at work, or coming home from school. I am on my way to take my morning lavender bubble bath. I'll say hi to my dad on webcam first. I love the internet. posted by Skotta | 3:32 PM | |
