... und er ist kein star, und hast schwartzes haar ... und Ich liebe ihm!

I bought a best of CD but I lost it and have missed it dearly.
I love her.

This is for all my favorite people.

I have been looking for this.

Zarah Leander is one of my favorite female vocals, here performing one of my favorite songs, but not in German, but in Swedish.

Enjoy!

My baby is asleep.
The G on my keyboard sticks up a bit.
He is two and I woke up this morning hearing the dad screaming "No, you can't pick up the buttons on mommy's computer!"
I guess they fixed it before I came down.

But that is not the interesting part.
The interesting part is that this is the first morning I sleep in since ... since ... since, I can't remember.
And another interesting bit is that I am writing this from my garden.

I am hoping my girl in NY shows up on Skype so that I can show her my garden.
This is not very likely, since
a) it's a Sunday
b) there's the time difference

It is not bloody likely that anyone will show up on Skype, because there is a record sunny weather forecast in Iceland also.

This post ends up shorter because my sis called and I ended up talking to the Spandex Bandit, whom we all agree is funny and charming, and admitted to leaving a trail of crying women behind him in America.
It turns out that the Queen will be there on the weekend after my arrival so I am expecting the meeting of the Greatest Bloggers on the internet.
I can't wait to go home.

I want to thank the Queen for the support and the Sarah Silverman fucks Matt Damon video. Love you.
If the rest of you don't know what I am talking about, check out the comments to my post.

I also learned that Will Ferrell has a son called Magnus.
How about that?

I also stumbled upon this site, called Ask Me Makeup. You learn a lot from YouTube these days.

Okay, lets get back to the real shit here.
My new phone.

I got the stainless steel.
It is just as nice as the other one, has got a 2GB memory card coming with it and allows a better internet connection. Not that I visit the internet a lot with my phone. I am purpously staying away from that feature since that will most definately make me bankrupt.
The best thing about this one is that the buttons are nicer. I kind of got sore fingers from the one I washed.

How about that?
New phone!

And the very best part, the 1GB memory card from the old phone survived!
I have all my photos still!!!
This is very important because Rome was on there.

Wan't more news?
I worked overtime today, promised to be there for this work related business reception. I thought it would be good for me since many of the people who attended could be good networking possibilities (reads: future employers).
The whole thing just proved that I suck at connecting names and faces and that this is definetly not my crowd.
I'm just not meant to be a yuppie.

I think that secretly I'll be on the lookout for a more creative field of work.
The most difficult job I had to day was to handwrite an invite to some personel of The Royal Houshold and Mayors of Copenhagen City.
I am learning all about etiqette but it is yet to be shown if all of this has a greater purpose in life.
You know, like you learn a skill and then when you are older it comes in handy.
Not a bloody chance I'll be hanging out with that type of in-crowd.

And of course I managed to fuck it up and invite the wrong people.
They'll fire me before I get a chance to quit.

This will be added on as yet another chapter of the script of my life.
You know the one, where I travel on the bus with a friends placenta in a shoe box, and where I rent a room in an apartment inhabited by boa constrictors.

I know you will understand how I feel right now.

I am so tired I could cry and my whole body aches.
I just came back from vacation that took such a toll on me that I have promised myself never to do it again.
I realized today that I'd be having overnight guests over the weekend and I am waiting for them now, having made their bed.
Meanwhile I am bathing, cooking, and putting a two year old to bed. The same two year old does not want to sleep in his bed and is utterly confused in the world after a week of an upside down exsistance in Rome.
And to get everything done before the guests arrive, I am doing laundry.

And I just discovered, to my great, great sorrow, that the beautiful mobile phone my loved AB gave me for Christmas has been washed on gentle cyckle along with my white delicates.

Bella Roma.
I am yours tomorrow.

Right now it is 2:36 AM and I have just planted and packed.
Not showered and shaved and done my tanning and tonails, as I had planned.
Nope, I packed for three (including figuring out how to pack a Bugaboo Chameleon without instructions which took a good half an hour) and I planted for one.
I planted for me.

I was making sure this would survive the week

yup, my sweet peas.

I have been digging holes in the garden after dark, cutting down some bambus (I have a bit of that growing in my crazy garden) and creating ladders for the sweet peas to climb on. I did this tonight to make sure they would survive for the next seven days without me.

I am an old woman now.
I do gardening.

Just kidding.
You should just see the fly warderobe I packed for Rome.
And I have blue nail polish.

I'll be back on the 13th.
Ciao.

Finally, a new router!

I am on again, life is fine again. Here are a couple of posts I tried to get to you while I was away.
You thought.
Of course I wasn't away, I was here the whole time.
Frustrated.
Read all about it:

One of three posts I tried to publish lately:

I can't believe I'm still up but I am all of a sudden on the internet.
I have made two attemts to blog this past week and had to give up because my connection went down all the time.

Tempting fate, I will give it one more try.
Although it's 1 AM.

I have no real news, just that I sowed about 80 seeds in about 40 jiffy pots this weekend. And that I managed to burn my first couple of CD's (for a gadget lover I am absouloutly showing old lady behaviour, I can't believe I got my first CD burning device so late in life).

So espect squash and awesome playlists if you visit me.

Oh, yeah, and I came up with wisdom today at work:

"Young business men are modern day pop stars."

Not incredably deep but hey, I am not really working at the Creativity Factory at the moment.

Yet, I get some of those examples visiting at work, and what lovely examples they are. I might be getting a soft spot for men in suits and expensive shirts.
Friendly as hell, impecable manners, and showing you exactly the right amount of attention for you to be flattered enough to ensure you remember them next time they need a favor.

At the same time you have the "oh, my, your mommy raised you well, didn't she?" factor which is not really that sexy. And the feeling he is shaking your hand because he wants your vote one day.

Another post, not published at the time:

We are getting increasingly aware of the fact that we are going to Rome next week.
Tomorrow is May 1st which is a holiday in most of the Nordic countries.
Socialists we are and this is the Labourers Day, completely holy in my book.

Friday will be hell at work because everybody is taking Friday off to get the long weekend, using the oppertunity to come pesturing me at work. I have double the normal amount of customers and a waiting list, and a business conference to help prepare.
That sounds quite impressive, ”preparing a business conference”, while it really means: proofreading the mailing list and licking stamps.

I don't hate my job.
I just don't find it very inspireing.
The fact that you can't get a promotion there does kill the spark a bit. I can't really go places in there unless I all of a sudden get a business degree. Not a fat chance I'll go that way.

My closest co-worker celebrated 20 yrs at the work place this week. He is completely miserable. He bought me an ice-cream to celebrate. I really don't like him but I hope the aknowledge him in some tiny way.

How depressing.
Let's get back to that Rome thing, shan't we?

For those with a good memory and have been following this story, just leave the next tiny bit unless you like a bit of romance told again and again.
For the others, here's a little story from 4 yrs ago:

I had just met AB. We had known each other for two weeks, to be exact, and he needed to go blow up a helicopter in Spain.

Needless to say, there were quite a bit of sms messages sent between Denmark and Spain and one of them went:
-I am in my hotel room wearing shorts because it is 20 degrees. (That's celsius, use the right bar links to figure our what 20 celsius is in farenheit).

The next one went something like:
-Now I'm envious, I am standing at Norreport bus station waiting for 350S bus and freezing my arse off.

The next one from Spain sounded:
Am researching if we can make a trip to the warm countries.

That is where life really froze.
I panicked.
The man was obviouly insane. He knew me for two weeks and he was planning a trip?!?
Oh, my God, what do I do, what do I do?!

The obvious.
Call a girlfriend.

Skottustelpa: ”What do I do if he invites me to go abroad with him?”

Wise girlfriend: ”You say yes please”.

And so I did.
AB took me to Rome on what happened to be Valentines weekend. Not that it had anything to do with it, we don't celebrate Valentines.
He was still an insane stranger (now he is just insane) and it got more scary when he left me with his luggage and a bowl of ice cream at Piazza de Popolo.
To go looking for a hotel with a bath tub.

We are staying at the same hotel now, 4 yrs later, this time with our son, AB's mother and his aunt.
Hotel Locarno.

I don't know when I get to post this, I have completely given up on fighting with the internet. AB is at work this evening so I think I'll take the next best thing with me to bed.
My laptop and Matt Damon in Bourne Ultimatum.

Matt hon, get over here.
Skotta will play now.
