Here's an update: I am mostly being busy with The Amazing Boyfriend. He is my superhero. He is now asleep. I know it seems like he sleeps a lot, and yes he does. He also worked 22 hours straight last week, and needs to make up for it. But that is not why he is asleep now. It is because it is early morning. Last night he was entertaining me and my Amazing Sister, who just left for the airport. We had a wonderful time together. Amazing Boyfriend invited me and Amazing Sister out to dinner at an Amazing Japanese Restaurant. Restaurant is a very expencive joint he took me to on our second date. He ordered for all of us and it was a feast. Rest of the evening he entertained us with his not-so-subtle wit. We like him. He is funny. I love going out to eat with my Amazing Sister because she has just as much fun as I do, trying out millions of new dishes, sharing every dish, and talking and laughing a lot. Love her. Isn't it wonderful to be able to spend an evening with some favorite people. I totally savored every moment. I was also complimented on my abilities with the chopsticks, as I was an excellent hostess, trying to get those slippery thin noodles out of the boiling dish on the gas. Sis was in Barcelona. I want to go. News from the home front: The Amazing boyfriend and I are starting to make his apartment look nice. He lives in such an amazing neighbourhood. We are talking about moving in together. It is kind of decided that I am going to be moving in with him. I am really looking forward to spending at least a year being in love, and bohemian, in that funky little neighbourhood. When we are finished cleaning out stuff, we are going to spend some money on refreshing the place with new drapes etc. IKEA here we come! Secretly I hate IKEA. But I do need to have new drapes in there before I go any further with the moving in bit. I love the place. It has a very serene atmosphere. And some of my coolest art on the walls... Kind of funny to have my art there inbetween all the tapes of the dancing on the train scene from Dancer in the Dark. Now don't misunderstand me. It's because I hardly ever remember that this man is one of the most talented film makers in Denmark. Really weird to have the original shots of a very famous movie, in my apartment. And coming across the photos of him from the Cannes Film Festival. I am really happy that this is not a more relevant part of my life, while it kind of moves me to deep respect for the man's talent when I'm faced with it. This happened when we were at the movies the other day. We saw a trailer for a new film, where they used scene he made with the helicopter being blown up. This is the first time I see one of his scenes on the big screen. I was totally moved. It suddenly dawned upon me that my boyfriend makes movies. But that's not why I love him. I love him because he's a sexy bastard. And now, so you don't think my life revolves solely around the Amazing Boyfriend: I do have a job still. I still love it, although these days I am always a little bit sad at work. September is my last month there, I have decided. It is time for me to be moving on. The new kids are amazing. We have 8 kids now, plus the 65 "normal ones". I have had my autistic chick make some videos. She is a natural, although she has a tendency to shoot people below the eyes. It is amazing to see the world through her eyes. I would love to work with her some more, do some video therapy. I shot a short video of my muslim mongol girl, as she performed some of her favorite numbers. I am going to be saving that one. She has some moves you can't describe. I went to a 1st interwiew yesterday at a new place. I really, really want that job. I know it is going to pay more than I am earning because I'd be managing some staff. I'd learn a lot. I loved the house and I'll get a call today if they want me for a 2nd interwiew. By the end of next week I'll know if I have the job. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Well, boyfriend is buying me a new cellphone today so we can videophone. He might buy me boots for the fall so I can look chick when strutting around with him at movie prewiews. I am going to be looking hot, hot, hot. Boots or no boots. Now, woman with 7 1/2 months. Do I miss you or what! I am flirting with the idea of visiting after the baby is born. I'm going to be calling you soon because I don't want to flirth further without talking to you first. Yeah, I know, I have said that before. This time I miss you so much that I really am going to call. And MC: I know you're in town... Saw you at Pussy's yesterday. Didn't get a chance to say hi as I had to run out after pouring a cup of coffee over the clothes I was supposed to wear at the job interwiew. Who's the blond? posted by Skotta | 8:50 AM | Tuesday, August 03, 2004 While my fries are in the oven... Amazing boyfriend is away for a week. I must have lost all my readers by now. I am as fried as my chicken that just came out of the oven. Yup, I made chicken. Amazing boyfriend does not eat chicken so it is rarely on my menu these days. This eve I am making a whole chicken, with fries, and I am going to be eating it the whole week. Drumsticks are great for the lunch box. I am at work again. I have been working for the past three weeks. I can't believe it has been three weeks since I came from Iceland. Work is very hectic. We all of a sudden have 8 kids! Two, of the staff of three, are sick, and we just took in a new student. This means that I am being wonder woman and the student is going home from work very confused. Mc got his wish granted. The weather has turned nice. So nice that I am very, very sunburnt after the weekend. Hence "fried as the chicken I just took out of the oven". I spent the weekend on a small island. It is totally a fary tale island, as in all the houses perserved from way, way back. I went there with the amazing boyfriend dude who was filming. I now have a minor role in a film. Very minor. My skirt can be seen. Well, I got to walk when the boyfriend said "action". It was nice to see him work. We had some time at the beach on the sunday. In a very short time I managed to get badly sunburnt. As I am not one of those women who sunbathe ritually in a skimpy little g-string, making sure that every spot on the body gets the same amount of tan, I now resemble a zebra.
