I have made a few attempts to start blogging again, and because of that I have a couple of old, unpublished posts. I decided, to warm you up, I will let them fly. Here is the first one, written close to two years ago:

One of three posts I tried to publish lately:
I can't believe I'm still up but I am all of a sudden on the internet.

I have made two attemts to blog this past week and had to give up because my connection went down all the time.

Tempting fate, I will give it one more try.
Although it's 1 AM.

I have no real news, just that I sowed about 80 seeds in about 40 jiffy pots this weekend. And that I managed to burn my first couple of CD's (for a gadget lover I am absouloutly showing old lady behaviour, I can't believe I got my first CD burning device so late in life).

So espect squash and awesome playlists if you visit me.
Oh, yeah, and I came up with wisdom today at work:

"Young business men are modern day pop stars."

Not incredably deep but hey, I am not really working at the Creativity Factory at the moment.

Yet, I get some of those examples visiting at work, and what lovely examples they are. I might be getting a soft spot for men in suits and expensive shirts.

Friendly as hell, impecable manners, and showing you exactly the right amount of attention for you to be flattered enough to ensure you remember them next time they need a favor.

At the same time you have the "oh, my, your mommy raised you well, didn't she?" factor which is not really that sexy. And the feeling he is shaking your hand because he wants your vote one day.

Another post, not published at the time:

We are getting increasingly aware of the fact that we are going to Rome next week.
Tomorrow is May 1st which is a holiday in most of the Nordic countries.
Socialists we are and this is the Labourers Day, completely holy in my book.

Friday will be hell at work because everybody is taking Friday off to get the long weekend, using the oppertunity to come pesturing me at work. I have double the normal amount of customers and a waiting list, and a business conference to help prepare.

That sounds quite impressive, ”preparing a business conference”, while it really means: proofreading the mailing list and licking stamps.

I don't hate my job.

I just don't find it very inspireing.

The fact that you can't get a promotion there does kill the spark a bit. I can't really go places in there unless I all of a sudden get a business degree. Not a fat chance I'll go that way.

My closest co-worker celebrated 20 yrs at the work place this week. He is completely miserable. He bought me an ice-cream to celebrate. I hope the aknowledge him in some tiny way.

How depressing.

Let's get back to that Rome thing, shan't we?

For those with a good memory and have been following this story, just leave the next tiny bit unless you like a bit of romance told again and again.

For the others, here's a little story from 4 yrs ago:

I had just met AB. We had known each other for two weeks, to be exact, and he needed to go blow up a helicopter in Spain.

Needless to say, there were quite a bit of sms messages sent between Denmark and Spain and one of them went:

-I am in my hotel room wearing shorts because it is 20 degrees. (That's celsius, use the right bar links to figure our what 20 celsius is in farenheit).

The next one went something like:

-Now I'm envious, I am standing at Norreport bus station waiting for 350S bus and freezing my arse off.

The next one from Spain sounded:

  • Am checking if we can make a trip to the warm countries.

That is where life really froze.

I panicked.

The man was obviouly insane. He knew me for two weeks and he was planning a trip?!?

Oh, my God, what do I do, what do I do?!

The obvious.

Call a girlfriend.

Skottustelpa: ”What do I do if he invites me to go abroad with him?”

Wise girlfriend: ”You say yes please”.

And so I did.

AB took me to Rome on what happened to be Valentines weekend. Not that it had anything to do with it, we don't celebrate Valentines.

He was still an insane stranger (now he is just insane) and it got more scary when he left me with his luggage and a bowl of ice cream at Piazza de Popolo.

To go looking for a hotel with a bath tub.

We are staying at the same hotel now, 4 yrs later, this time with our son, AB's mother and his aunt.

Hotel Locarno.

I don't know when I get to post this, I have completely given up on fighting with the internet. AB is at work this evening so I think I'll take the next best thing with me to bed.
My laptop and Matt Damon in Bourne Ultimatum.

Matt hon, get over here.

Skotta will play now.

Over a year since the last post.

Yet still, I am Skottustelpa.
Hear me roar.
