First listening: What is this? Second listening: This is the shit! posted by Skotta | 11:32 PM | My oh my. Just when I thought I'd have some quality blogging time, I am constantly online web conferencing with the boyfriend. Today I had a therapeutic moment with my mongol muslim girl. You see, we have been making these body pictures, where I roll paper on the floor and draw around them lying there. Yesterday my puberty mongol painted boobs and vagina on hers, and a sanitery pad. It's that week of the month. It looked awesome, all parts in the right place. Well, we are having the parents over tomorrow, the kids are making food. So we had a little talk today, me and the girl. I gently expressed how much I loved her painting and we talked about the body and my boobs and her boobs. Then we talked about how our boobs were naked under our clothes. Then we talked a little bit about being naked and having clothes on. Then I pointed out to her that the parents are coming over for dinner tomorrow. I wondered outloud if we should have clothes on during that dinner or if we should be naked. She totally felt that she should have clothes on. She hated the idea. Sounds like a paradox. But it isn't. It is just a conflict between intellect and feeling. She loved her painting of herself naked and she didn't want to cover herself at all. She is loving puberty. She realized that she had to have clothes on because her daddy would freak if he saw her painting of her boobs, and she would risk not being allowed to come to our after school program anymore. He has already pulled her out of "girls group" at school, where the other girls get sex ed. By the way, I know that boobs is probably not the politest word for breasts, but I can't let go of it, it has a sentimental value to me. I so felt her pain while she painted over her vagina and the sanitary pad. She could not bring herself to paint over the boobs but painted lovingly around them, and took her time with it. Eventually they were covered. I could have cried. On the part of the skirt that covered her vagina she painted a window. I felt it was a beautiful metaphore and I know that if she wasn't so retarded she would think so too. Angry Dad posted by Skotta | 9:24 PM | Saturday, April 24, 2004 Oh, man, can't believe I forgot! Greetings Fargo! posted by Skotta | 9:44 AM | Oh what a wonderful life. Tired due to personal and professional stress but doing great. Enjoying a weekend with the boyfriend. Or a day with the boyfriend. I'll get a day with the boyfriend next weekend, then nothing until he flies in to se Metallica perform in Parken in May. Then he is off again and I think I will see him once in June and then he comes to Iceland in July. So expect a lot of blogging over the next couple of months. Does all this "away" time sound familiar to anyone? Sounds like the story of my life. Am I a little bit annoyed? Nope. The guy calls me every day from wherever he is in the world. He sends me messages on my phone all the time, and he has bougt me a web cam and a head set so I don't have to ever worry about phone bills. Web conferencing is the shit. There could not be more contact between two people between continents. Plus, he lives here. I am the home he comes to. I love that. No eight-months-between-seeing-each-other and calling-once-a-week-(but-it's-really-to-expensive) bullshit. Boyfriend is busy filming all over the world. But at the moment he is asleep next to me. I wake up early these days, it is 8 am on a Saturday and I am blogging. I am madly in love. I know you are all waiting for the "madly-in-love" period to be over so we can get back to my evil humor. Here is a taste from Natalie Dee who just got married wearing a t-shirt that reat "Bride" (no Tarrantino involved:
Oh, yeah, wow, I allmost forgot! I saw Big Fish. Typical, the movie was running in Iceland in December, here it starts running in April. Sony Pictures don't even have the trailer on their front page anymore. Well, what can I say? Hate to put down favorite actor Ewan and favorite Tim Burton genious. Jessica Lange is always foxy. There is definetly some Tim Burton in this. Just not enough. Yip, Tim Burton has gone Hollywood. I reccomend trying to hang on to the previously published litterature. This is a movie I wil definetly reccommend to my mum. No offence mum. Then, a movie that has been called "Tim Burton meets Kill Bill" (presumably before Big Fish). It is Danish and called Terkel i Knibe (or Terkel in Trouble). It is one of the best animated films I have seen. The moral is that bullying is not funny but it is presented in the most evil way I have ever seen. Gory scenes include the fat girl in class throwing herself out the window after being bullied by our hero Terkel (whom she is secretly in love with), and Terkels little sister getting a fork in her eye, followed by a fork in her other eye in the next scene. I can also put a question mark with the scene where Terkel calls his parents from camp and the dad is wearing a diaper and the mum has the dominatrix outfit on. Otherwise it is pretty close to the reality of way too many kids. You call the childrens hotline and they are too busy to talk... or as they say in the movie ... if I am on a drunk, leave a message... Not far from the truth in this beer soaked country where kids play often involves a "sleeping mom/ dead mom" (who is passed out and can't wake up). I can't tell you how many times I have been asked to play "Home alone, mom is dead". Hullboy, if you are still reading me, this one is a must see for you!!! It is not only totally one of the most evil children's films I have seen, the animation is so impressive when you think of the fact that there are six guys making this film while there are about 200 making Finding Nemo. My kids at work love this film. I have to say I agree but don't tell any of my co-workers. posted by Skotta | 8:41 AM | Monday, April 19, 2004 Just for fun, here are some of my VIP Astro Twins. I knew of Ronald Regan, but have to say that Zsa Gabor, Bob Dylan and Babe Ruth were a surprize. Not as much though as Eva Braun.
It makes me wonder if I have something in common with these people. A president of the USA. A freak of nature. A genious. A superb athlete. Hitler's girlfriend. Oh, well. Just fun to think about. Okay, saturday: We were thrown on a bus at 8 am and drove for an hour out of town. We spent the whole day in the woods somewhere, working in teams to solve a few assignments. We learned a hell of a lot about ourselves, not the least that we work great as a team. We had the oppertunity to challenge ourselves individually also. This is what I would like to call 10 meters 40. To you in the US it is somewhere between 33 and 34 feet. There was this 10 meter 40 pole that I climbed up in a belt. Then I stood on this pole, bringing my sweet face 12 meters from the ground. Here, I give up calculating, this might help. Standing there, on that pole, which spaced my feet, I jumped out on a swing. Well, I grabbed it with my hands. Yip, just like they do in the circus. Then I let go and flew to the ground again. Of course all of this was perfectly safe and fun. But to me, totally insane. It is funny how my brain told me before I did it, that I couldn't do it. I am simply not a person who does such things. It is scary though, how that same brain, afterwards, told me that I didn't do it. "Shut up brain!" I said, "I did too. Don't you dare ruin this for me." You see, my brain tells me lies all the time. Sometimes it is great, like when something bad happens that I can't deal with, my brain tells me everything is going to be fine. Other times it simply tells me I'm not good enough. Fortunately, I am getting better at telling when my brain is lying. Best way I do that by listening to my heart. posted by Skotta | 4:22 PM | Saturday, April 17, 2004 This is not me, but this is what I did today.
I am too beat to write more today but check this out: Outfitterkompagniet posted by Skotta | 11:23 PM | Friday, April 16, 2004 Hey, I'm back! Sorry about the wait. It is partly due to my trip to Iceland and partly due to my lack of internet connection. Now I am back from Iceland and have unplugged everything and anything there is to unplug around this computer, and I am back to blogging. At least for tonight. It is sunny in Copenhagen, lovely heat and no wind. I'm getting a tan already because we are out playing in the sun the whole day. And we baked bread by an open fire with the kids. I smell of smoke and I have sand in my hair. Today I got shot by my girl with autism, and had a muslim burial ceremony made by my mongl girl. The burial ceremony included a lot of sand and grass over my head. Needless to say I was totally uncool with that so she got bathed in sand. She is now sitting at home with a lot of sand in her hair. And her ears. And her nose. Well, so do I. I just didn't take my knickers down to get the sand out, like she did. Other highlights of the week included my little Fetal Alcohol Syndrom boy eating worms on the playground, surrounded by stunned and grossed out little kids. He just doesn't seem to get it. His mum has threatened to ground him, no school, no after-school, if he keeps eating worms. I hate her for doing that because it is me that needs to have a talk with her about the difference between dicipline and punishment. I really am uncomfortable with the part of my job that involves raising parents.
And now to other interesting things... Tomorrow is Saturday and I am going to be at work from 8 am. We will be put on a bus and driven to some woods out in the country. There we will be on a team building course for the whole day. I am back 10 pm. Sunday there is a tea party at my house. Only girls. And my homo. I have only invited him and my not so much feminine lesbo friend. He's lady enough for the rest of us. posted by Skotta | 7:46 PM | Thursday, April 08, 2004 I have been tagged... Although this belongs to a different blog, I will post it here as it connects so beautifully with a recent theme in my life. Let me introduce Plotualbum vikunnar, or as we say in English; the Album Cover of the Week:
Anyone identify...? It is funny how, when I have drama, I manage to spread that drama. I have this habit of sharing everything with a lot of people. Especially when these are things that upset me. I would not be surprised that this is one of the reason I blog; to share the drama. I love drama and I have a lot of Drama Queens around me. It seems to be an impossible habit to break. What Drama Queens have in common though, is that they can often identify with each others drama, can give some good feedback and suggest things I could do to minimize the drama factor in life. I am lucky to have loads of those around, both male and female. Hail to all those who have patiently listened to and participated in my drama this week. posted by Skotta | 9:56 PM | |
