Sunday, August 31, 2003 Check this out guys, here is Avary. He is a geneous... and his website is really cool. Check out his links to other sites. Enough about this film. My effin horoscope predicted that frozen assets were about to thaw, something about Martian vibes having effect on my House of Finances and Posessions. I have never been so broke and am probably not going to make ends meet this month. So there goes, the horoscope is bull. I have purchased a ticket to Iceland this Christmas. Yes, I know it is August. There are so many Icelanders living in Copenhagen that buying the ticket early is really important. Otherwise one might risk flying home Christmas Day and not get a ticket back on time to show up for work in the year 2004. I am really looking forward to going home. Funny enough, I still call that place home although I haven't lived there for years. My connection to that place grows stronger every year. I can't wait to hook up with my friends that live there and my Icelandic friends that live all over the world but go to Iceland over the holidays. Then there is my family. I have an amazing family. No need to say more. I had a great day today. I had one of those Sundays that had nothing on it. No plan, nothing to do. So I went out and hung. I didn't spend the night at home so I was already in good company over the morning cup of coffee. Ate brunch by myself at one of my favorite cafes, dropped by friends houses and had coffee. Met up with most of my best friends in the city. Those who don't live in the same neighbourhood (up on the East Bridge) were there visiting or working for others. So I had a really chill day. Shit, lost track. Have been browsing Roger Avary's page for a while now and my right eye is hurting so much I have to stop. Check out Mr. Stitch. Hate my head. Stops me from doing loads of fun things. Amazing that I am still bloggin after a year of those friggin headaches. I know tonights headache is a result of three movies watched last night. Fuck it. posted by Skotta | 9:33 PM | Rules of Attraction rules! I have not seen such a good movie in a long time. Come to think of it, I have not seen a movie in a long time... Don't let that scare you away, this movie is a must see. Shit, thunderstorm. I am turning off the computer. posted by Skotta | 8:03 PM | Saturday, August 30, 2003 I am at a friends house, they are watching football so I am blogging. Now we are going to watch Rules of Attraction. posted by Skotta | 10:27 PM | Friday, August 29, 2003 I have been starving you of my wit and wisdome for a while now. I am indeed very busy these days but of course I have a few gold nuggets for you guys. First of all, never go to the hospital. You are always sicker when you go out than you were when you came in. I went to the hospital this week which resulted in me being sent home from work that same day due to the treatment I got at the hospital. I love my job. I have to tell you about some of the things I am doing there... Today I got to take two girls horseback riding! On Wednesday I am taking a Bay Watch test. No, not quite running on the beach with a red thingie. I am taking a test so I can save the kids if they are drowning. Not that my kids will drown, most of them are quite good swimmers. My main job with the handicapped kids is to make sure they don't shit in the pool. Yeah, I knew you'd love that one. Typing "shit in the pool" on the Google Image Search site turned up nothing funny. Work is great. Kids are different these days from when I was young. We have had a theme this week, it is called "Outdoors". Very simple, the kids play outside instead of inside. I have never seen a group of grumpy kids like this, they protested loudly when they found out. No computer for a week! Learning how to skip and jump the rope and all the fun games I played when I was a kid was totally foreign to those kids. I was so proud of my handicapped bunch. It turnes out that all those "normal" kids have just as poor gross motor movements as the handicapped ones. No wonder these kids are always hurting themselves. They can't jump or climb trees! Then it started to rain. More moaning. They don't even have boots and rain jackets with them as the parents are not used to their kids being outside playing. The kids were crying over the cruelty of us adults who expected them to play out in the rain. "Honey, it's just water, there hasn't anyone died yet from getting wet!" I have had a great time this week. As everybody knows I love torturing kids... There is a new girl in my handicapped group. She is big and hates me. I keep preventing her from going down to the kitchen. She is very food oriented so when I stop her from getting to the kitchen she gets very upset and locks herself in the bathroom. After sitting there for a while she comes out only to discover that I am still there. In to the bathroom she goes again. The new girl has caused some fraction among the other girls. So far there has been two of them and they have already sorted out their differences. Now there are two of them, the new girl and one of the others, who love red. The time I had playing Ludo with those three! They took turns having fits of anger and running off. The new girl is very special. She can get upset over something trivial and cry violently with huge tears creating puddles around her. If she on the other hand finds something funny, she laughs, just as violently, for up to 5 minutes straight. Usually it is something the rest of us can't see the humor in. She is lovely though. I have also gotten to know the third girl much better now after the summer vacation. She is turning into quite a teen and has a crush on the oldest boy in the "normal" group. She talks a lot about getting a boyfriend. Unfortunately our answer has to be; "You know that you are a muslim, there are no boyfriends for muslims. No, you can't kiss, there is no kissing to be done until you are married." Not a thing I have said before to a girl with Downs Syndrome. I love my kids. The violent one is also hormonal. This seems to be the theme at their school, they are all talking about boyfriends and girlfriends and kissing. My violent one gave me a big, wet, snotted, kiss on the cheek the other day and declared me his girlfriend. Needless to say we had a talk. I told him gently that I was too old for him. The day after I got a pin in my shoulder. We were on again.
I have been relatively free from him these past week as now I have two male co-workers who seem to have some testosteron thing going. I guess they like beating him up more than they like playing Ludo with the girls. posted by Skotta | 10:51 PM | Sunday, August 24, 2003 Harry Potter finished, back to life. Reality is so boring when you compare it to Hogwarts. Love this link. I have no news as I have escaped from life and into Harry Potter for a while. Got new Pumas... awesome. posted by Skotta | 7:40 PM | Saturday, August 16, 2003 I just could not resist this... ![]() Find out what Harry Potter Character you are here! Created by TheMast Should I be proud or am I in great danger because people like Draco Malfoy will try to kill me? posted by Skotta | 12:13 AM | Friday, August 15, 2003 I strongly advise you to check out this website,as it contains artwork by my favorite artist, and the band is probably awesome as this guy never lets his crap associate with crap. That just came out wrong. Check the site out anyway. On a more private note to The Artist formerly known as Buddy Bradley (but currently called Hagrid); sorry I haven't written. Send me this kimono CD. I will be there for X-mas and New Year this time. Start looking forward to it now. posted by Skotta | 11:58 PM | Hey'yall Sis came and went. Oh, the thrill of having her here! I loved the time we spent togeather. There were hours at the beach where we peed in the bushes togeather, there were walks in town and really great food eaten. Really chill and nice. Oh, yeah, her son and husband were with but I hardly noticed them... hehehe, I am lying of course! It was amazing to have them all here and spend time togeather. I have had a busy week. I have not spent any time on the internet. Partly because it was too hot, partly because I have had migraines the whole week. No computer during the migraine week of the month. I am now being checked out at yet another hospital and am starting to feel like a lab rat.
Meet Tama, the lab rat. I am so tired of my brain being checked out. Fact is that us humans know very little about the brain. Another fact is that Danish doctors are arrogant little bastards who know very little about being doctors. They think it is a game of "Let's Ignore This Woman's Symptoms and Give Her Something to Fuck Her Up Even More". Little secret... I'm not playing anymore. I refuse to be a blue lab rat (blue being the color they see, thinking I am depressed), and have therefor given myself a diagnosis. I have also prescribed the meds for it. I'm not telling what it is... but for those concerned, it contains no alcohol... hehehe. Let's talk about something else. Like, I got 12 Icelandic CD's this week! Candy is good, Icelandic CD's even better. I am also having a great time at work. My horoscope tells me I will meet God this week. My plan is to drown myself in Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix. Does that count as meeting God? posted by Skotta | 11:47 PM | Wednesday, August 06, 2003 Panic, panic, sister coming tomorrow. Have decided, will clean bathroom will leave cleaning kitchen window Nah, will make popcorn and chill. posted by Skotta | 10:18 PM | The best thing about this blog thingie is reading it over some days after I wrote it. I admit I write this for the sole purpose of amusing myself and if it so happens, for others amusement. I find me funny. It has been a while since I wrote and it will be a few days until I write again. Reason being that my sister is coming for a visit and that I am looking forward to. If anyone is funnier than me than it would be this sister of mine. I have been painting and cleaning and painting and cleaning and it still seems to get all messy again. I am seriously considering giving up on the cleaning part. Either that or getting myself a handsom man who will clean for sex. Where would I advertise for that? I have a handsom man coming over to my house tomorrow with his big drill to put up a shelf for me. He is lousy at cleaning house so that won't do. I would have put up the damned shelf myself if it wouldn't be for that big drill problem, the drill I borrowed for the job was not powerful enough to go deep enough. No, I'm not sexually frustrated, why, how did you get that idea? My tennant is moving in this weekend. Her best friend decided to paint her room as a surprise, so the best friend has worked her ass off here today. The room is now purple. They are eighteen and answer the phone with: "Paul's Pussy Palace, this is Paulette speaking, how can I help you?" I wonder if raging hormones are catching? Hormones are tricky little devils that shouldn't be messed with. I have a bad feeling that they are the root of my migraine headaches. Well, now my yellow kitchen is allmost finished (apart from the shelf) and my apartment is now the coolest one in this city, I am ready to have my sister visit me. I just need to do a little bit more cleaning.
posted by Skotta | 8:37 PM | Friday, August 01, 2003 Lovely evening, finally here. The heat is roasting us these days. It is roasting my plants anyway. Weather Pixie has promised me a warm August. More tips on painting: Do not walk around apartment unless checking the soles of your feet first. Cover your hair. Close eyes while painting ceiling. Do not paint on a summer night unless you don't mind the suicidal flies in little humps on your walls. Realize that paint job done by electric lights in the evening looks different in the morning. My small apartment has spotted floors. What can I say, I'm an artist, I make a mess. I love being messy and I am used to having a lot of space to mess around in when working with fun stuff like this. My perfectionism just evaporates when I discover that, shite, got yellow on the white wall and white on the yellow wall! Spotted apartment. I am getting pretty tired of trying to get the paint out of my hair (that, by the way, reaches my waist now) every evening under the shower. I have so much paint on my body, even on parts of my body that is covered with clothes while painting, that they make fun at me at work, saying that I am such a bad painter that I always miss the walls.
One day I will have a scanner... then I will be hitting you guys with my own artwork on this page. Until then, enjoy my favorites.
