Tuesday, May 27, 2003 I just e-mailed out this web-address. Welcome to all of you who have not followed me so far. All old stuff can be found at Skottustelpa's Page of Fun and Games. I totally reccommend that site as I loved making it and it has many gold nuggets (like a dancing Spiderman and a Kikkoman animation that beats anything). Enjoy! posted by Skotta | 10:38 PM | More about Skotta So far this is what I have found out: Skotta is described as a female ghost. The Skottas I have been reading about have been killed by people who then tell them to go kill other people. The Skottas return when the job is done and ask what to do next. Those who have not given the answer "now harrass the rest of the clan of the man you killed", go insane when Skotta decides to terrorize them instead of relaxing in her ghosthood. Skotta usually haunts someone and then continues to haunt his decendants forever, killing his kids, making them insane, etc. The Skottas are also known for killing cattle. They run faster than men and horses and their fingerprints can be seen on the dead cattle when found. Skotta has appeared as a red fox and as a woman in a hooded cape. The "Skotta" name comes from the hood that in most of the stories had a tail (skott in Icelandic means tail). Red clothing are often mentioned, red socks and skirt and sweater. The Skottas have names that ties them to a place, like Móhúsa-Skotta, Brekku-Skotta, Mývatns-Skotta and HÃtardals-Skotta. In one story Skotta is a hungry teenager who is turned away and dies, only to return to torture the man who turned her away hungry. In another story she is a hungry young woman who is fed only to be drowned later by the man who fed her. Two Skottas were spotted at a wedding reception stealing food of peoples plates. A man drove them out so that they got no more food. He also managed (with wich craft) to have them spit at each others faces to the enjoyment of the wedding guests. Another story tells of the same two fighting but no one knows who won. There is another Skotta who is sold from one man (who grew bored with her) to another, and then again to another. She got so angry that she gave the last one who sold her a slap in the face that broke his jaw. One story tells of Skotta turning old. Having sore feet she negotiates to leave a farmers family be if he gives her his boots. So he does and she is not heard from again. posted by Skotta | 10:24 PM | Skotta I found another Skotta. This one writes in Icelandic, is better at the html than I am, and is probably the original Skotta. She is good looking, smart and funny, just like me.
For those of you who know me well... we seem to have more things in common. Skotta is a female poltergeist. Skotta is what a father calls his little girl. I am not quite happy with my page yet. I am hoping blogger will give me more options with the layout soon. At present time I am only able to choose between 4 backgrounds. I have not quite gotten used to the red. I am therefor missing my old page a bit. But I am glad to be back! posted by Skotta | 9:32 PM | Friday, May 23, 2003 Hi guy's! Don't you just love my new page! posted by Skotta | 9:48 PM | |
